Admissions

Steps for Enrollment

  1. Attend an Information Night. Please contact us for details about our next info night. To speak with an Admissions representative by telephone, call 818-360-1111, or email admissions@northridgecommunityschool.com with your contact information — someone will reply in a timely manner.
  2. Submit a letter of interest. Include the names and ages of your children, and how you found out about the school.
  3. Attend Visitation Day. This gives you an opportunity to tour each classroom while class is in session. We ask that you not bring your child, as they may be a distraction to you and the class.
  4. Read our Biblical Foundations document and submit a completed application along with your application fee.
  5. Family interviews will be conducted. After we've received your application and fees, we will call to set up an appointment time.
  6. How our family interviews work: Students and parents are interviewed separately. A few committee moms and dads will sit with your child to get to know them — it's nothing you can prepare for, and we do our best to make it comfortable. You'll be in the room next door with a few committee members, discussing your views on parenting and spiritual matters.
  7. Grade placement testing. Once a family is granted admission, children are tested for grade placement or kindergarten readiness. For kindergarten, children are typically 5 years old or older by September 1. Testing is scheduled separately, and our goal is to ensure each child is placed in the proper grade.

The Northridge Community School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
