The families of Northridge Community School are unified by our common belief in the God of the Bible, and in faithful biblical parenting. We are a body of like-minded Christians who love the Lord and desire to raise our children by keeping His commandments. Our aim is to provide a curriculum and culture that is an extension of the biblical values taught at home.
We seek to employ teachers who are qualified, dedicated Christian educators. Our teachers and supporting staff are personally committed to upholding and furthering the purposes of the school. They model biblical character and serve to develop the students into the likeness of Christ.
The overall student/teacher ratio in the classroom is approximately 15:1 but typically less. Classrooms are often set up as multi-grade levels when class sizes are appropriate (i.e. K/1, 2/3, 4/5, and Jr. High), thereby allowing the teachers additional time to develop long-term relationships with their students. This, along with the small classroom size, leads to better assessment of each student's strengths and weaknesses.
Northridge's philosophy of education rests on three foundations: our Statement of Faith, our philosophy of education, and our principles of Godly character. Together they shape how we teach, how we partner with families, and what we hope to instill in every student.
We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God, inerrant and infallible. We believe in one true God manifested eternally in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and in the deity, virgin birth, atoning death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe salvation is a free gift of grace received by faith, and that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman as delineated in Scripture.
A true Christian education is the pursuit of biblical wisdom, not just knowledge and facts. We believe the God of the Bible is the author and source of all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, and we seek to advance the whole child — helping each student "increase in wisdom, stature, and favor with all men," as Jesus did (Luke 2:52).
"See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ." (Colossians 2:8)
Parents carry the responsibility of biblical child training and discipline in the home; the school exists to reinforce, not replace, that foundation. We ask parents to partner with our teachers through timely completion of home-school assignments and open communication, so that learning is deepened both in the classroom and at home.
We believe parents should help illuminate for their children the fallen condition of the heart and its need for God's life-changing influence. Northridge partners with families to instill character rooted in Scripture — being other-oriented, respectful of authority and of others, honest, humble, and obedient — always understanding that these qualities are taught, encouraged, and exemplified together by the staff and families of our community.

As a school, we can only build upon the foundations you have already laid at home in your child's heart. We are thankful and privileged to come alongside you as we "train up a child in the way they should go" (Proverbs 22:6).
